Homemade mushroom soup is made using fresh mushrooms, milk (a vegan option is available), and a thickener like arrowroot or cornstarch. For a vegan option, try using coconut oil for the fat called for in the recipe.

Sourdough Bread Crumbs

Here is another little thing that changes the taste, just a little, using sourdough bread crumbs. We seem to always have leftover sourdough bread or rolls. Usually, the leftovers go in the dehydrator on low if I am dehydrating something. Otherwise, they get placed on a silicone-lined cookie sheet and placed in the oven without heat overnight. Of course, we share with the girls, (hens) which they love bread anything too!

If you are interested in sourdough recipes, check out the few I have on other blog posts. Sourdough Waffles for Two. A blog and a video for Bread Machine Sourdough, yum! Sourdough Cornbread Stuffing goes great with any meal. And another favorite, Sourdough Danish Apple Aebleskivers, the cast iron pans make the best!
