But for this project, we will be making a sphere hanging flower basket using both baskets for one hanger. This type of planter is used many times for strawberry plants.

• Push a finger in the hole to close the coconut fiber around the plant to hold it in
• Periodically, this may have to be done 
• Dead-head any dead flowers and discard them in the compost pile

How to Water and Fertilize a Hanging Flower Basket

Use a good fertilizer, weekly mixed in a watering can to easily water the hanging flower basket. Water daily using the PVC pipe in the top until the water runs out the bottom of the planter. Keep the coconut fibers opening covered or closed shut so the roots don’t dry out.
